Hand washing – We continue to reinforce the need for everyone to wash their hands regularly for 20 seconds using soap and water, including after coughing, sneezing or blowing their nose, or after being in public areas where other people are doing so. We are ensuring pupils have washed their hands before eating as well as urging everyone to try to avoid touching their face where possible.
Prevention – To reduce the spread of germs we are urging everyone when they cough or sneeze, to cover their mouth and nose with a tissue, or in the crook of the elbow if they do not have a tissue to hand, and then to wash their hands immediately.
Cleaning – We are cleaning and disinfecting surfaces regularly, using professional cleaning products, to reduce the risk of the infection passing between people.
