Please read our latest on the Coronavirus.
Town Close School is now closed and only open to pupils of parents who are key workers.
The global spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) has led to unprecedented measures around the world and we are aware that this is a very unsettling time for everyone.
Should you have an urgent situation surrounding Coronavirus that needs addressing immediately, please do contact the relevant front office (firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com). The health and welfare of all in our school community are of paramount importance.
This is a constantly evolving situation, with the latest information available from the following links:
Hand washing – We continue to reinforce the need for everyone to wash their hands regularly for 20 seconds using soap and water, including after coughing, sneezing or blowing their nose, or after being in public areas where other people are doing so. We are ensuring pupils have washed their hands before eating as well as urging everyone to try to avoid touching their face where possible.
Prevention – To reduce the spread of germs we are urging everyone when they cough or sneeze, to cover their mouth and nose with a tissue, or in the crook of the elbow if they do not have a tissue to hand, and then to wash their hands immediately.
Cleaning – We are cleaning and disinfecting surfaces regularly, using professional cleaning products, to reduce the risk of the infection passing between people.
Risk to children – Current evidence on COVID-19 suggests that children do not experience severe illness. Public Health England states “We are still learning about how children get infected and how likely they are to transmit it to older people or people with underlying health conditions.”
