Inspection Report
ISI Inspection Report
Town Close School received an ‘Educational Quality’ Inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in October and November 2011 in which the School was judged “excellent” in every respect. To view the Educational Quality Inspection report, click here.
The School subsequently received a Regulatory Compliance Inspection in November 2017, which differs from an Educational Quality Inspection in that it simply reports whether regulations are “met” or “not met”. No value judgements are included in this type of report beyond describing provision as good. Town Close met all the regulations with no further action or investigation required. The reports of the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) not only represent a very reliable indicator of each school’s quality; in the absence of ‘league tables’ they provide a vital guide to help parents identify the sector’s top-performing Prep/Junior Schools in the country. The two reports confirm Town Close to be an exceptional school – not only in comparison with others in Norfolk, but as one of a small number nationally to have been graded excellent/outstanding in every single element covered by the latest Educational Quality Inspection.
It is a privilege to be Headmaster of Town Close and to nurture children’s development thanks to the outstanding support of colleagues, governors and parents and crucially the enthusiasm and commitment of the children themselves.
