Year 5 visit solo exhibition by Norfolk artist, Debra Shipley

Year 5 began their week with an exciting trip out to Norwich Cathedral to visit the solo exhibition by Norfolk artist, Debra Shipley. The installation entitled ‘Bowls in a fragile world’, explores the perilous nature of our natural environment due to man-made pollution whilst stressing our overriding duty to preserve it.

The children were very engaged with the artist’s work and were thrilled to have the opportunity to meet her in person ahead of crafting their own bowl.  It proved a very thought provoking experience for all that will help to prepare them for their next Art topic, ‘Pots and Vessels’.
