As part of their ‘African Adventure’ topic, Years 3 and 4 were treated to a morning with the wonderfully talented Anna Mudeka.
Launching the morning in style, Anna led a captivating assembly where she performed songs from different parts of Africa, covering Swahili, Zulu, Xhosa and Shona languages. In the fantastic workshops which followed, Anna used music to enhance her storytelling. Each year group explored how call and response is used in the art of storytelling, before participating in drumming, singing and dance.
