Welcome back to the Spring Term

Last Friday, Mr Wilson welcomed our community back to School following the Christmas break:

Dear Parents,

May I start by welcoming all those who are new to Town Close, whether you be a pupil, parent or member of staff. You will find the school to be a vibrant, engaging and happy place where the children learn with a passion and excitement both within the classroom and beyond. At our core is the Town Close community that is wonderfully supportive and always there to help, enabling your induction to run smoothly as you transfer to this fabulous school.

The start of term for the children has been a hugely successful one, undoubtedly helped by the cold yet gloriously sunny weather that we are experiencing. As we end the first week, I am delighted to report that they have settled very well following the holidays and have clearly enjoyed reconnecting with friends and their teachers.

A new year brings with it new opportunities, something I have been talking to the children about in detail, challenging them all to try something new, be it within the academic, pastoral, social or indeed any aspect of School life.

In this regard, the children within the Prep Department have an opportunity to sign up for activities that broaden their horizon beyond the classroom and allow them to discover passions and interests that last a lifetime, something that I hope to encourage as many of them to do as possible.

May I finish by reminding everyone of the importance of wearing your lanyard when on-site, as this forms an important part of our safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety of all the children.
