Town Close celebrates 50 years of Mr. Men & Little Miss

This week, we marked 50 years of Mr. Men Little Miss with a week of fun & learning with all of our incredible little people in School!! The week’s activities & events were launched by a whole School Assembly that delved into the history of the books & saw Mr Chapman create some of our favourite characters in balloons whilst we all learnt how to draw Mr Tickle!

Activities throughout the week included balloon modelling of our favourite characters, creating and making their own new characters in French, a themed trail around School, a Mr Men / Little Miss Food challenge and, finally, a dress up day and Mr Men / Little Miss Parade before a delicious Mr Men themed lunch! As part of this week, the children also wrote jokes and created their own characters to create a Men Men / Little Miss themed joke book. A copy remained in our Library for the children to enjoy and another copy was sent to our charity this year – The Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital at The Norfolk and Norwich Hospital Trust – for the children in hospital to read and enjoy!
