Success at the National IAPS Cross Country Championships
Cross country runners from Years 5 – 8 represented the School at the National IAPS Cross Country Championships, competing in very strong fields of runners over an incredibly challenging course at Woodbridge School.
All of the runners ran with huge determination and resilience and should be incredibly proud of their performances. Special mention to Lola (Yr 8) who came 7th in her U13 race as well as to the wider U13 girls team of Lola, Lexi, Tessa, Eloise, Molly & Emily who impressively finished 3rd overall in the team event.
The U11 girls and boys teams all ran hard with many of them taking part in their first cross country competition. They conducted themselves brilliantly, running with composure and confidence. Well done to Sophia, Amelia , Alice , Annabelle, Tilly, Harry, Ben, Tom, Hugo and Jacob.
The U13 boys team was unfortunately affected by external commitments but James and Sidney from Year 7 worked hard throughout, gaining valuable experience that will stand them in great stead for next year’s competition.
Huge congratulations to all and special thanks to Mr Woods for his invaluable support and encouragement.
