Prize Day 2022

Prize Day is always a very special day in the Town Close calendar and, without the constraints of previous years, it was truly a day to celebrate all of our pupils’ achievements and the passing of another incredible year at Town Close.

We were delighted to welcome television presenter Simon Thomas into School as our Prize Day guest speaker. In his address to the parents, staff and pupils Simon spoke about perseverance and overcoming fear in his inspiring speech, drawing on his own personal experiences of discovering his passion for presenting and never giving up. A huge thank you to Simon for joining us and presenting the prizes on a memorable Prize Day for our Town Close community.

Beautiful performances by the School Orchestra and Choir were interspersed with the speeches and presentation of the prizes. Well done to all of the children who performed or contributed to the success of the day, with particular mention to our outgoing Heads of School who closed the ceremony with reflections on their time at School and their aspirations for the future. We wish all of our Year 8 cohort the very best as they move on to their new schools.
