A Lockdown Drama Challenge!

During the lockdown period earlier this term, Mrs Beasley set all of her drama classes the challenge of designing and creating their own dream theatre. She was incredibly impressed with the results! Designs ranged from traditional, grand masterpieces to modern interpretations, in all kinds of locations including at the top of trees and underwater. Some designs considered the need for inclusion and accessibility and others featured Covid-safe aspects such as individual family pods. Children used a range of materials and apps to ‘build’ their theatres.  Many Headmaster’s commendations were awarded for outstanding designs and all children were given the opportunity to present their ideas to their class. Well done to all involved – there’s clearly a lot of imagination flowing through Town Close! Here is a small selection of the designs. There will also be a display in school soon.
