Harvest Hampers bring joy to Care Home Residents across Norfolk
Harvest Hampers bring joy to Care Home Residents
The generosity of our School community brought huge joy to care home residents across Norfolk when our School Charity, Friend in Deed, accepted and distributed over twenty-six hampers to care homes in the county on our behalf. The hampers were filled with treats ranging from edible goodies to books, games, toiletries and teddy bears, all thoughtfully purchased and donated by the families and staff throughout the School community.
To mark the occasion, we were delighted to welcome Reverend Patrick from Christ Church and School Charity, Friend in Deed, founder Kelly and colleague Jo into a very special full School Assembly for Harvest to give thanks, to celebrate and to share together. Kelly and Jo were thrilled to accept the hampers on the care homes’ behalf ahead of our School Council welcoming residents from Chiswick House into School for a very special tea and cake event in the Read Hall. It proved to be a wonderful interlude for the residents and pupils alike, filled with conversation, laughter and plenty of delicious tea and cake!
Our huge thanks to everyone who donated to the hampers, to the Chiswick House residents who visited us and to Friend in Deed for distributing the hampers and exemplifying the incredible power of kindness.
