Discover Prep

Last week, we were delighted to welcome our Year 2 parents and children into School to our ‘Discover Prep’ event: a pupil led presentation introducing the opportunities, learning and fun that awaits our Year 2 children next year when they transition into our Prep department. Our Year 4 cast of ‘The Adventures of Superstan’ delivered an energetic excerpt from their forthcoming production; Elisabeth, in Year 4, gave a beautiful performance on the violin; and a sample of Science based experiments with just the right amount of drama, fire and loud bangs certainly captured the Year 2 children’s attention and imaginations!  Pupils Sam & Tishe (Year 6), Harriet & Gamar (Year 7) and Heads of School Matilda and Toby scripted their own monologues on what makes Prep so special to them, passing on information to the audience on House competitions, trips, visitors. sports; all showcasing the joy of Prep beautifully. Thank you to all of the children who contributed to an inspirational morning for all.

Attendees also enjoyed watching a film highlighting some of the new play and learning spaces that the children will discover in Prep:

 

 

Further activities and events are planned over the coming months designed to familiarise the children and parents with the Prep Department spaces, teaching staff and routines. It is an exciting time for pupils, existing and new and we look forward to guiding you through this exciting time.
