The usual points of entry are from three years of age (Nursery), four years of age (Reception) and at seven years of age (Year 3). However we are very happy to admit pupils at other ages where space permits.
We can also accept mid-year entries, therefore we do not have a deadline by which to apply for the following year.
Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Amy Jones, our Admissions & Marketing Manager, on 01603 599030 or at [email protected]. Alternatively, you can complete an Enquiry Form.
How to Apply
Come and visit us either for a private tour with the Headmaster or attend our next Open Morning.
Reserve a place for your child by completing our registration form. You will receive an email acknowledgement confirming receipt of your completed form as well as an invoice for the £100 + VAT registration fee. Upon payment, an email confirming the place is reserved will be sent to you. Should we not have a place, your child will be added to the waiting list.
Your child will be invited to a taster session with us so they can experience school life at Town Close. Following their visit, you will receive their offer letter. The taster sessions are different, depending on your child’s age:
- Nursery places: Your child will be invited to join us for a 45 minute play in the nursery
- Reception places: Your child will be invited to join us for a 45 minute play in the nursery
- Year 1 – Year 2 places: Your child will be invited to join us for a morning in Pre Prep from 8.30am – 1.30pm
- Year 3 places: Your child will be invited to join us for a day in Pre Prep from 8.30am –3.30pm
- Year 4 and above: Your child will be invited to join us for a full day in Prep from 8.30am – 4.00pm
Whilst we are academically nonselective, your child's academic potential will be assessed informally through classroom observations. This will help us place new children in the most suitable class as well as ensure we can meet their needs.
For admission into Year 4 and above your child will be invited to complete an entrance assessment on a separate day if practically possible.
Your child’s offer letter will be delivered via email along with a contract to sign and an administration booklet to complete. You will be given a deadline by which to accept the offer. The deposit to secure the place is £500.00.
Once you have accepted your child’s offer they can start from the agreed date. When joining from September, at the start of the academic year, your child will have the opportunity to join us for their settle in sessions.
