Formula Goblin Racing at Scottow Enterprise Park
A group of Year Six children expertly raced the Town Close Formula Goblin cars at the Scottow Enterprise Park this week. Having undertaken training in safe handling and driving techniques prior to the event, they confidently competed against twenty eight vehicles and recorded some fantastic results. Taking responsibility for the handling, trackside maintenance and the racing of the cars, the children excelled in all disciplines. They were a credit to the School and the STEM programme headed up by Mr Buck, our Head of Design & Technology, who was instrumental in launching this event last year. This year 200 children from local state primary schools were given a memorable introduction to engineering thanks to Mr Buck’s efforts and the valuable support of teachers and schools across our region. We look forward to many more adventures with our cars in the future!
