Year 8 Salvation Army Visit
The children in Yr 8 visited the Salvation Army Citadel on 22nd November to attend one of their Sunday meetings. This was the children’s second visit to the citadel, with the first having taken place last summer term. Once again we were all given a particularly warm welcome by members of the corps.
The children are in the middle of working on their R.S. Common Entrance project which is submitted as part of their exam. They are exploring the Salvation Army and used their visit on Sunday to question local Salvationists on a wide range of issues from leadership to the environment. The children wrote down the key points from their interviews, which will now be woven into their projects.
Our thanks go to Alison Gibson who facilitated our visit and to everyone at the citadel for making us so welcome.
