Prize Day 2024
Prize Day 2024
It was a great honour to welcome Delia Smith CBE as our Prize Day Guest Speaker. Her journey from a self-taught cook to a national treasure and a business leader is testament to the power of determination and a willingness to step into the unknown, in spite of the barriers. Taking part in a Q&A devised by the pupils, Delia spoke about her own schooling, the challenges she faced and her achievements before answering one of life’s big questions: ‘Does pineapple belong on a pizza?’ Thank you very much, Delia, for joining us.
‘Let’s be havin’ you, Town Close!’
In his final speech, Mr Wilson encouraged all of our pupils to take inspiration from Delia Smith’s legendary phrase and seize opportunities in life, embrace change and to give their best effort in all they do.
Congratulations and thank you to all of our prize winners; to our talented musicians for the musical interludes; our Head of Governors, Sarah Anthony; and to our formidable Heads of School, Tessa and Tishe, for their incredible closing speeches.
We wish all of our pupils, staff, friends and families a lovely summer break and we thank you all for your unwavering support, energy and engagement.
