Town Close F24 Team triumph at Mallory Park Racing Circuit

The Year 8 F24 team travelled to the Mallory Park Racing Circuit and produced two fantastic performances to win the Kit Car Class. A tight battle with Bromsgrove School’s ‘Team Chicken’ created a tense Race 2 with pit-stops proving the deciding factor with the Bromsgrove team forced to make an extra stop, allowing the Town Close ‘Team Phantom’ to take advantage and register the win! The Team are also to be congratulated for setting a distance record for the Town Close car – travelling 37.73 miles in 90 minutes with three drivers.

As a result of their win, the team have qualified for the Finals at Goodwood in October setting a distance record for the Town Close car – travelling 37.73 miles in 90 minutes with three drivers. with the grid position for this to be decided by the best distance posted by each car over the course of the season.
