Year 6 visit the Horstead Centre

Two years overdue, the children were beyond excited to finally have the opportunity to visit the Horstead Centre together and enjoy an overnight adventure!

A thrilling range of activities were included over the two days with the children taking part in climbing, bouldering, canoeing, archery, paddle boarding and bush craft as well as working together to take on the infamous crate stacking challenge!  In the evening, a night walk in the early evening sunshine prepared them perfectly for a bonfire party with games, songs and the obligatory toasting of marshmallows!

The trip provided a fantastic opportunity for the children to relax together, test themselves on the different activities and build strong relationships for the new School year ahead. Thank you to all of the staff at the Horstead Centre and to the team of Town Close staff who accompanied them.
